BC Tasting Games Finale

  • East Kelowna Hall 2704 East Kelowna Road Kelowna, BC, V1W 4A5 Canada (map)

The BC Tasting Games finale is a hilarious blind tasting competition, with a wine-loving audience tasting the same wines as the experts on stage.

Hosted by Master of Wine Rhys Pender, the May 21 event is the grand finale of the Tasting Games.

At each of the three divisional BC Tasting Games events, renowned wine experts competed on stage, blind tasting five wines. Six finalists, three from the experts and three wildcard winners from the audience, rose to the challenge and proved themselves worthy of competition in the finale.

At the grand finale event, the six BC Tasting Games finalists will debate, discuss, bluff and use their wine savvy to guess at the mystery wines’ origin, varietal, producer, age and price. In the audience, we will blind taste the same exact wines, snack on chef-prepared gourmet food, and then... the results will be revealed. Enjoy the camaraderie, as proceeds from the evening benefit viticulture scholarships and culinary education.

Cheer on your favourites wine expert, as one of our finalists will be crowned the “Best Wine Taster in BC!”

This year the BC Tasting Games will feature 9 amazing wine experts from across the province.
